Is my gas mileage good on my chevy s-10?
i drive about 64 miles a day (to and from work) about 50 of those miles are on an interstate. I keep the cruse at 70mph. I don't accellarate too fast.
I have a 2000 chevy s-10, 2.2 liter I-4. Automatic. Flex-fuel. - I run standard grade gasoline.
I have a K&N air filter, new o2 sensor, new fuel sensor new throttle positioning sensor. I use Sea Foam ocasionally.
My gas milage averages about 21 mpg, sometimes 19, sometimes 22. From verious people that I have spoken with, they are getting 25 - 30 + mpg on the highway.
What do i need to look at on my truck? Get rid of the tool box (which is practically empty but looks cool) and get a bed cover? Slow down to 65 mph are spend even more time on the road?
