My amp is really static and grungy. How do I fix this?
It sounds like its in overdrive all the time. The only time I can fix it is when the volume is so low you can't hear it over the actual guitar.
If it matters, it is a really small hiwatt amp, cost around $110, and I'm playing a Martinez acoustic, model MFC-23-*SB
The asterisk means I can't tell whether it is C or G, there is a mark covering the bottom half of it. I'm using Ernie Ball strings; phosphor bronze, sizes 11, 12, 22, 30, 42, 52. What settings should I use (eg, bass, treble, mid. and pres.)
I haven't had this problem before. It also has maxwatt and spitfire on it. I assume it just means what parts have been used. Just checked on back and it says
